Spain - Fund for Health Research (ISCIII-FIS)

The Fund for Health of Spain (FIS) is the the extramural R&D funding branch of the Institute of Health Carlos III (ISCIII), that is an autonomous scientific and technical body attached to the Ministry of Health and Consumption for supporting at the Spanish National Health System, and legally entitled to manage R&D National Programmes, i.e. Biomedicine, Technologies for Health and Welfare, Infrastructures, Human Resource Capacity Building (research training fellowships and research manpower and researchers job contracts), that is the main public body to fund Biomedical and Health Research in Spain via public competive calls.
