NEURON aims to increase the number of research groups from countries that are to date not well integrated in the funding scheme, so called ‘underrepresented’ contries. To achieve this aim, modification of the compostition of the consortia was allowed as part of NEURON’s Widening Concept. In particular, addition of partners from underrepresented countries was encouraged where scientifically justified. As a result, 25 new research groups were added between pre- and full proposal stage.
